Welcome to Volunteer Schutzhund Club's online presence! VSC is a working sport dog club specializing in the training and trialing of dogs for the sport of schutzhund, often called the triathalon of working dog sports.
Comprised of a handful of like minded dog handlers and trainers, VSC collaboratively strives to achieve a high level of success on the trial field from puppy work through international competition.
VSC's members combine experience in schutzhund competition from BH through SchH III, owner handled and trained dogs, regional placements, national level trials, as well as international representation abroad. In addition, several members bring prior experience in other areas including police K9, AKC obedience, show handling, rescue, and more.
The club holds regularly scheduled training days in the Franklin, TN area, just south of metro Nashville. VSC is a full member club of both the United Schutzhund Clubs of America, as well as the GSDCA-WDA. The club is predominantly made up of working line German Shepherd Dogs, with an occasional Malinois and Rottweiler added to the mix.
